In the Bener Meriah Regency of North Sumatra, the Abyssinia variety has found a home alongside cultivars such as Typica, Bourbon, and Ateng Super. Thousands of smallholder farmers in this region cultivate coffee on small plots, relying on traditional, generationally passed-down knowledge, enriched by fertile volcanic soil and high altitudes ranging from 1,100 to 1,500 meters.
This coffee is processed naturally to enhance its inherent sweetness, resulting in a refined and expressive cup. Expect notes of apricot and blueberry, supported by a rich chocolate base. A pleasant acidity and a smooth, silky mouthfeel complete the experience, lingering gently on the palate.
